About Me
As a child, I used to love styling my mom’s clothes for work and parties. She would let me inside her wardrobe and I would choose everything for her. I would simply recycle her old outfits and put them into new and sometimes outrageous combinations. Earlier it used to be a sweet little joke. She would laugh and let go!
However, on one occasion when she was supposed to get dressed for a party, she wore the outfit and jewelry that I pulled out for her. I still remember that day and how that one moment sparked a lifelong interest in fashion and styling.
My name is Shubhangi Pandya, and this is how my journey with sustainable fashion began. As I grew up and chose to study media and journalism, I realized the importance of being aware. I realized how we recklessly discard old clothes without giving a thought about the environment and how textile waste ends up creating landfills.
Hence, it’s about time that we acknowledge a sustainable lifestyle as our savior. Every move and every purchase must be in sync with healthy environmental practices.
The clothing waste is doubling up every year and to save the world from more damage we need to team up and learn sustainable clothing practices.
So here I am with a platform for budding designers, where they can look for ideas for slow fashion and resources that promote creativity.
